I thought i would pray today
what if one day you do find god,
and he tells you all your prayers were true.
and you ask him
how he knew as much.
and he tells you he heard them
through and through.
you tell him you had feared this day,
when he looked in your eyes
and you saw him see the pain,
and a tear rolled down
and you told him its in vain...
-'cause a life is too short,
to have believed and questioned,
and trusted and lost,
as many times to one being again...-
my fight is not with you my lord,
it is with my own faith...
which fractures my being everytime
and yet i give it all the faith again...
and he tells you all your prayers were true.
and you ask him
how he knew as much.
and he tells you he heard them
through and through.
you tell him you had feared this day,
when he looked in your eyes
and you saw him see the pain,
and a tear rolled down
and you told him its in vain...
-'cause a life is too short,
to have believed and questioned,
and trusted and lost,
as many times to one being again...-
my fight is not with you my lord,
it is with my own faith...
which fractures my being everytime
and yet i give it all the faith again...

that last stanza is the most poignant.
how hope is at once the greatest strength and the most crippling weakness... though faith i believe stands on stronger ground than that?
i dont know about hope... i dint figure that being a part of this piece.
faith is almost 'blind' and to be alive i think it should also be... hope i guess is when you would wish your faith came true its worth...
so aap dubai mein kya kar rahi hain filhaal? btw, the thing abt reading comment before post, totally true! lol... could shift the conversation to email / chat... like u mentioned earlier, blog chatting isnt quite user friendly as yet.

Actually when I re-read my comment, it didn't fit in here. However, here it is, for what it is worth.
The best part about being an Agnostic is that one realises that one cannot understand everything. However, being an Agnostic also implies that one is open to capturing any piece of that myriad vaccum that is faith, that one piece which may be beyond human comprehension in itself, but as part of one's belief, one puts that piece somewhere into one's faith.
